Guest Speaker
Tom Prickett – our “NYSF-er” for 2023.
Tom is a student at St Columba Anglican School (SCAS)
The NYSF, National Youth Science Forum, nurtures Australian science and technology talent by immersing students in what a career in Science, technology, engineering, maths, STEM, looks like in real life. Hearing about non-typical jobs and connecting with other like-minded young people has life-long impact.
Tom's presentation was very interesting and extremely inspiring. His passion was evident, and it is clear his horizons were broadened by attending the NYSF.
With future leaders like Tom we can be confident our fate is in good hands.
Anniversary Recognition
It was a warm welcome back to our touring professionals Geoff Moore and Vicki Finch who received belated anniversary service recognition
And also congratulations to John Drinan and Elizabeth Fielding who have a much longer service commitment to Rotary than these numbers would indicate.
Member Induction
We welcomed into our club Julie Drake who is pictured with President Neil Black and her mentor Grant Heaton. Julie is head of administration at St Columba School.
Gaol Point Path
Finishing Touches before Council takes over the watering
Satellite Club
There’s an environmentally focussed satellite group emerging from Sunrise Rotary.
They recently met at Lake Cathie to remove pollution.
